Therapy dogs make the world a better place by providing comfort to people. Does your dog have this special gift? Let us help you teach your dog to be a therapy dog.
Therapy dogs go with their owners to volunteer in settings such as schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. Therapy dogs are not service dogs. From working with a child who is learning to read, to visiting people in assisted living, therapy dogs and their owners work together as a team to improve the lives of the people they visit.
To visit most sites, your dog will need therapy dog certification. One of the most common certification organizations is the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. We'll work together to ensure your dog passes their certification test.
The AKC Temperament Test is a title your dog can earn that shows your dog has a sound temperament. While not required for therapy dogs, it's a great framework for socializing your dog to a variety of stimuli.
Our trainers are experienced in training therapy dogs, and taking therapy dogs to places for visits. We'll share our expertise to ensure you and your dog are an effective therapy dog team.
Therapy dog training begins with an evaluation at the first training session, which is 90 minutes long, costing $190.
$130 per one-hour therapy dog training session, each focused on preparing you and your dog for therapy dog certification.
Therapy dog training sessions are scheduled by appointment Monday through Friday, 10am-6pm and Saturdays 10am-4pm.
